Golden Granola

Have you ever been interested in making your own granola and quit buying store bought cereal? Typically you can but the ingredients in bulk and save money. Making your own granola also gives you the added benefit of knowing exactly what is in your morning breakfast cereal bowl. I have some tips on how to prepare granola if your are interested in making granola for yourself.

Tip number 1, find a recipe that you really like. If you make your first batch of granola and you don't like it, do not throw in the towel. Often it will take a few trial runs in making granola before you settle on a recipe that appeals to you. I am putting a few on this site that I personally love. Here is the recipe that I use, Golden Granola.

Another tip is when ever you have a recipe for granola that calls for honey and oil to be mixed together, mix them very well. You can clearly tell when the two ingredients are separated. Please, before you mix them in with the dry ingredients make sure that they have become one liquid. Mixing the liquid throughout all of the dry ingredients is also very important. I have found that using a large bowl really helps with doing this and not making too much at one time.

This is a delicious crunchy granola dish. You can eat it with milk as a cereal, put it on your ice cream, use it as a snack or put it on fruit. It goes very well with all of these combinations.
